Bluetooth speakers are the life of the party. Without music, everything feels dull. This is why these speakers play an important role in almost all aspects. Every party, every music band and even all the home theatres have speakers. But the question is, does a bigger speaker provide more precise sound? Well, sometimes it is true, but modern-day technology provides us with small and compact speakers that are louder than the bigger ones. 

The size of the speaker definitely determines the portability, but in the case of sound, there are more major factors to it. The compatibility, the quality and the DSP matter more than the size. Yes, it might be louder than the small speakers, but it does not mean it will be better.

    • The drivers that are more than 5 inches are found in the boombox. These are just perfect as the bass is perfectly deep and the audio is loud and prominent. 
  • When your speaker is big, it will easily support the large batteries and amplifiers, which will eventually provide a better and higher volume level and a better output.

  • Battery life: Battery life is a major issue. Smaller devices have a life of around 10 to 12 hours, which is decent for personal use. The big speakers have a battery life of about 20 to 40 hours, which is perfect for shows, events and ceremonies. 
  • Audio quality: The audio quality is great in the small devices; the frequency can go higher, but the only problem here is the bass, which is weak in the case of smaller devices. But in larger devices, the sound quality is great, the frequency can go higher, and even the bass is great. 
  • Pocket pinch: if you are under a budget, small speakers are perfect as these are cheap and you can even get local devices at 20 dollars, and it can range up to 200 dollars. On the other hand, big speakers are very costly and can cost even more than a thousand dollars. 

Use cases of both small and large speakers

Small Bluetooth speakers: These are perfect for indoor use and personal purposes. You can carry it on the go easily, as it is small and portable. You can even keep it in your bedroom, as there is no setup required, and you just have to connect it to Bluetooth. 

Large Bluetooth speakers: it is perfect for large music setups and parties. You can even use these for outdoor events, but make sure that it has a good IPS. However, bigger speakers are just perfect for outdoor purposes. 

Conclusion 

Both small and large speakers are perfect for enjoying music, but it totally depends on the purpose of use. If you want a speaker for personal use, you can go for small and portable speakers, but if you want it for professional purposes, the big speakers will be perfect. Even though small speakers are great, the bass response is not that great, but in bigger devices, you get great sound along with great bass.
